Tangqi Ancient Town 

The Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal is like a colorful ribbon holding the north and south. The ancient town Tangqi is located at the southern end of the Canal.

In 2014, the Grand Canal was successfully listed as a World Heritage Site, bringing new development opportunities for national AAAA-level tourist attraction Tangqi Ancient Town. In addition to the sweet and juicy loquat,  the unique water town historical and cultural atmosphere is the most attractive factor.

Design

The scence of Tangqi old town has been well preserved for thousands of years. With rivers  interlaced and bridges connected. The concept of nine curves and 18 bends is shown very well in Tangqi.

The rain has added a hazy beauty to Tangqi. In rainy days, the residents of the town will sit in the shed, drink the tea and enjoy the rain, and see that the sky in the distance is dyed smoky blue by the rain and mist.

The project lighting aims to create a "history", "culture" and "livable" atmosphere, and is committed to creating a model of the ancient town along the Grand Canal, making Tangqi an important node of the Grand Canal cultural belt.

Smart lighting solutions

The lighting project starts from Tangqi Road in the east, reaches Yajing Bridge Lane in the west, starts from Yunxi Road in the south and reaches the Grand Canal in the north.

The humanistic feelings and elegant scenery are expressed through the lighting design of flowing water, green corridor, architecture, humanities and other aspects.

The overall color temperature is mainly medium and low color temperature with suitable brightness.ROLEDS smart landscape lighting products create an elegant and classical light environment by increasing the outline of water surface dynamic and static forms

The lanterns under the eaves of the corridor add a joy to the green landscape. It not only fits with the charm of the ancient town, but also highlights the cultural characteristics of the street feeling.
